Temple Bar Tops in Dublin City
Temple Bar has emerged victorious in the annual Tidy Towns Competition
having been named Dublin City’s Tidiest area for the first time ever.
The Temple Bar Tidy Towns project is organised and funded by local traders group TASCQ, who over the last five years have raised almost 2 million euro in voluntary contributions from local traders to support local environmental, cultural and marketing activities. According to TASCQ Director Martin Harte, ‘This represents a huge achievement for the area and proves that Temple Bar can be a serious contender for top honours in the national tidy town’s competition’. Temple Bar scored 253 marks out of a possible 400 and in the process unseated last year’s winners, Raheny by just a single point.
